Our 2016 Contadina has notes of lush, ripe blue and black fruit balanced with high-tone herbal aromatics of mint, sage and sweet tobacco, and a long velvety finish. This vintage had a ripening season with cooler than normal temperates which allowed for a steady gradual ripening, producing wines with good complexity and higher-than-average natural acidity. Contadina, Italian for female farmer, is our way of paying tribute to the original Swiss-Italian farming families that first planted the slopes to grapevines in the 1870s. Often led by their strong matriarchs, these families laid the foundation for Burgess. Their heritage, tradition, and legacy are carried forward today by our cherished winemaker Meghan Zobeck.

If you specify we can ship to a FedEx location to be held for pickup at no additional charge. You can search for the nearest FedEx location (no drop boxes) by clicking here and use that as your shipping address. Most Walgreens locations will now hold wine orders for you (state of LA excluded). They will come up in the search results at www.fedex.com/locate if that service is available to you.

It is ideal for the package to be received on the first delivery attempt especially when the weather is warm or extremely cold.
All alcoholic beverages purchased from this site are sold in the state of Florida and title passes to the buyer in Florida. Craft & Curd makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of Florida. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcoholic beverage products. By placing an order with Craft & Curd, buyer authorizes Craft & Curd to act on buyer’s behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver buyer’s order.
Return Policy:
Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
