Additional Details

Cinq Cépages is the flagship wine of Chateau St. Jean. Each year, Winemaker Margo Van Staaveren selects fruit from outstanding and proven Bordeaux varietal vineyards to craft a wine that showcases the very best of Sonoma County. The primary grape sources are from some of the finest appellations throughout Sonoma County. The majority is from Knights Valley (46%) where the fruit highlights boysenberry flavors and elegant tannins. In addition, Cabernet Sauvignon from the Monte Rosso and Mountain Terraces Vineyards in the Moon Mountain add structure, alongside selections from Sonoma Valley including Chateau St. Jean estate Vineyard Malbec. The Louvau vineyard in Dry Creek offers Merlot with lush juiciness and texture, while the Stuhlmuller Vineyard in Alexander Valley brings fruit with savory, dried herb notes and bright berry flavors.

We now ship FedEx to all states we ship to with the exception of PA, DE and KY (UPS). To the state of TX we use a small carrier called LSO but shut down shipments there during the summer months.

If you specify we can ship to a FedEx location to be held for pickup at no additional charge. You can search for the nearest FedEx location (no drop boxes) by clicking here and use that as your shipping address. Most Walgreens locations will now hold wine orders for you (state of LA excluded). They will come up in the search results at www.fedex.com/locate/ if that service is available to you.

General Shipping Policies:

It is ideal for the package to be received on the first delivery attempt especially when the weather is warm or extremely cold. We cannot ship to PO Boxes.

Return Policy:

Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
