There’s a mixture of art and science that goes into making our Alchemist wines. Alchemist is an inspiring blend of the very best from our favorite Willamette Valley vineyards and is the small-batch, pinnacle of the Union Wine Company portfolio. This Pinot Noir is a bold and uncompromising wine crafted to elevate everyday moments to the realm of art.
After a cold, damp winter we saw early spring heat that pushed bud break up a few weeks ahead of average. A heat spike around flowering caused potential yields to be reduced but would ultimately create small berries and loose clusters. The mild summer to fall temperatures allowed for great flavor development and concentration in the grapes. 2016’s wines are showing good concentration and intensity and have retained amazing freshness and acidity.

Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
