90 Points Wine Enthusiast
This is a rich style of Pinot Noir, beginning with aromas of dark plum, black cherry, cola, root beer and nutmeg on the nose. It's quite opulent on the palate, with baked fig and fruitcake flavors, as polished tannins and fine acidity pump into the long, vanilla-fueled finish.

Named for the golden hills of the Santa Lucia Mountain Range that frames our family-owned San Bernabe Vineyard in Monterey, Diora is inspired from “d’Or,” the French phrase meaning “golden” and bestowed on beautiful, sun-filled regions. No effort has been spared along Diora’s 30-year journey from vineyard-to-bottle. The result is an expressive Pinot Noir overflowing with flavor, depth and personality and a devotion to indulgence.
About two thirds of the fruit for this Pinot Noir wine comes from Santa Lucia Highlands and about one third from our Estate Vineyard in San Bernabe. Prevailing afternoon winds from the high elevation of the Santa Lucia Highlands funnel down from the Monterey Bay allow for faster cooling in the early afternoons – cooler late afternoon and nighttime temperatures result in beautiful acidity. The San Bernabe Estate sandy soils are free draining, allowing the grape vines to develop deep root systems, these rows were intentionally planted in a unique wind orientation allowing the vines to thrive and for these red wine grapes to thicken their skins and heighten the luscious, round textures on the palate. Our San Bernabe grapes contribute the red fruit and elegance while the Santa Lucia Highlands fruit offers darker fruit aromas and tannins. Combining the best fruit from both vineyard sites allows us to add layers and complexity to our final blend.

We now ship FedEx to all states we ship to with the exception of PA, DE and KY (UPS). To the state of TX we use a small carrier called LSO but shut down shipments there during the summer months.
If you specify we can ship to a FedEx location to be held for pickup at no additional charge. You can search for the nearest FedEx location (no drop boxes) by clicking here and use that as your shipping address. Most Walgreens locations will now hold wine orders for you (state of LA excluded). They will come up in the search results at www.fedex.com/locate if that service is available to you.

Return Policy:
Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
