Ex Post Facto Syrah 2017 - 750ml
93 Points Wine Advocate
Entirely whole-cluster fermented, the 2017 Syrah has a medium ruby color and pretty nose of pipe tobacco, blackcurrant, dried black cherries, chargrill, smoke and garrigue with hints of peppered meats, crushed blueberries and loamy earth. Medium to full-bodied and silky, it gives restrained ripe fruits in the mouth, fleshing out to savory layers, with firm, ripe, grainy tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long. Yum!
A new project from Winemaker, Greg Brewer, Ex Post Facto breaks away from Greg’s Burgundian roots at Brewer-Clifton to explore a Rhône style wine from his beloved Santa Barbara County. The origin of the name is from ex post facto law, “a law that makes illegal an act that was legal when committed.” Ex Post Facto encapsulates Greg’s almost deviant desire to go outside his Brewer-Clifton paradigm to explore an outside muse. - Winery Notes

Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
