GRAN  MORAINE VINEYARD

"The Gran Moraine vineyard was planted in 2005 to several different Dijon clones. Located five miles west of  the town of  Carlton this site is one of  the more westerly vineyards in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA and therefore subject to the cooling afternoon breezes that roll off  the Pacific. A variety of  slopes, aspects, row direction, and plant material offer a wide diversity of  blocks to choose from when blending our Yamhill-Carlton Chardonnay.

The 2016 Chardonnay was hand-harvested in the crisp dawn air of  early autumn, then quickly brought into the winery for gentle, whole-cluster pressing. This traditional technique allows Gran Moraine to capture the freshest and most pristine juice from our Chardonnay grapes. After a briefperiod of  settling, the juice was transferred to French oak barrels from Burgundy, 11% of  which were new wood. There the juice underwent a lengthy natural fermentation that took as long as 12 months to complete. During this time, we utilized monthly battonage—stirring of  the lees—to develop the wine’s texture and secondary characteristics. After 16 months in barrel, the wine was fully racked to an outdoor stainless steel tank and left to mature in the cold Northwest winter. This extended outdoor aging provided natural cold stability to the wine, as well as the opportunity to evolve and coalesce into its finished state."

No pricing or other info is included with order.

We now ship FedEx to all states we ship to with the exception of PA (UPS).  

If you specify we can ship to a FedEx location to be held for pickup at no additional charge. You can search for the nearest FedEx location (no drop boxes) by clicking here and use that as your shipping address. Most Walgreens locations will now hold wine orders for you (state of LA excluded). They will come up in the search results at www.fedex.com/locate/ if that service is available to you. 

General Shipping Policies:

It is ideal for the package to be received on the first delivery attempt especially when the weather is warm or extremely cold. We cannot ship to PO Boxes.

Return Policy:

Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
