Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 - 750ml
92 Points Wine Enthusiast
Showing an elegant structure, this historic wine is well integrated in terms of tannin and soft, supportive oak. Dried herb and clove mark the midpalate, adding seasoning and complex character to the currant core.
The Jordan Vineyard & Winery Cabernet continues to be one of Sonoma County's top performers since its debut 1976 vintage. Jordan wines are made in a more European style that allows them to pair well with a broad range of foods. Winemaking decisions emphasize the wine’s fruit and acidity rather than alcohol and tannin, and achieving elegance and balance in the bottle drives all that Jordan does in the vineyards and cellar. More than three-quarters of the 1,200 acres that surround the Jordan Winery Chateau remain wild, open spaces that myriad animals and plants call home. Preserving natural habitat and conserving resources are two tenets in sustainability efforts. The winery runs almost entirely on solar energy, and the vineyards and winery are certified sustainable.
The combination of elegance and intensity make it a fitting vintage to celebrate 40 years of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon. Enjoy now after decanting for 30 minutes or cellar through 2035.
Post malolactic fermentation, individual lots were blind tasted and ranked, then assembled into our “barrel blend.” After one year in barrels, the “barrel blend” was reassessed and only top lots were combined for the final master blend.
Aged in 100% French oak for 13 months; 49% new and 51% one-year-old barrels.

If you specify we can ship to a FedEx location to be held for pickup at no additional charge. You can search for the nearest FedEx location (no drop boxes) by clicking here and use that as your shipping address. Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
