Additional Details

Marco Abella wines come from the Priorat region in Catalonia, Spain and embrace their rich legacy, geographic altitude, unique soil, and vineyard orientation to create harmonious products through bio-dynamic farming and expert wine making. Produced by the Marco family, whose wine-making roots trace back to the 15th century, the wines exemplify quality at every stage: 100% estate grown fruit coming from the highest altitude vineyards, hand picking and sorting, and a non-interventionist approach. The wine is beautifully packaged with labels created by the renowned Catalan abstract painter Josep Guinovart.

Priorat came to international attention in the 1990s. The signature characteristic is its unique black slate and quartz soil known as llicorella. The soil is essentially stone where the vines struggle to grow so much that they produce only small powerful berries.

AGING: aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.

PREPARATION: once picked grapes undergo a process vinification is conducted separately according to the variety and the plot. According to this embodiment, the first fermentation and maceration is done in stainless steel tanks. After raising is given for 11 months in French oak barrels separately and then make the final blend and make bottling.
