This was a relatively cool growing season through spring and summer. Harvest began a bit later than normal, around the first week of September with grapes being picked into the second week of November. Consistent moderate-to-cool temperatures created a bit of a compressed harvest. The lack of precipitation combined with cooler temperatures allowed for white and rosé grapes to maintain their natural acidity and fully express their aromatics and f lavors before being picked. Red grapes were able to ripen slowly, developing dark fruit characters and rich, rounded tannins. The result is beautiful wines showcasing the best that California has to offer.
Maritime influences in the evening tempered the afternoon’s warm sun, which allowed for a long hang time and resulted in fully developed, concentrated f lavors. Fermentation took place entirely in stainless steel tanks with minimal intervention, and lees stirring created a velvety mouthfeel. All the wine underwent 100% malolactic fermentation and was aged with French oak for further depth and roundness.

We now ship FedEx to all states we ship to with the exception of PA, DE and KY (UPS). To the state of TX we use a small carrier called LSO but shut down shipments there during the summer months.
If you specify we can ship to a FedEx location to be held for pickup at no additional charge. You can search for the nearest FedEx location (no drop boxes) by clicking here and use that as your shipping address. Most Walgreens locations will now hold wine orders for you (state of LA excluded). They will come up in the search results at www.fedex.com/locate if that service is available to you.

Return Policy:
Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
