Moulin de Duhart Pauillac 2014 - 750ml
91 Points Wine Enthusiast
"A ripe rich style of wine, with swathes of black-currant fruits and cushioned tannins, this second wine of Duhart-Milon is full bodied and deliciously rich. The fruit carries the wine with its smooth tannins. Drink from 2022."
Château Duhart-Milon’s second wine is selected on the same basis as the “Grand Vin”. In general, the grapes are from the younger plots in the vineyard. Moulin de Duhart has several characteristics similar to the grand vin, but with less potential for ageing as its barrel ageing period is shorter. It should be consumed younger than its more robust counterpart. The origin of the name comes from the former presence of a windmill on the Carruades plateau, next to the Duhart-Milon vineyard.
Château Duhart-Milon’s Tasting Notes
Good colour. Deep red. Robust nose, still closed. Notes of fresh fruit, especially Morello cherries. The attack is supple and rounded. A pleasantly energetic wine. Evolves well on the palate. The structure suggests that it will soon open up.
Good length, with slightly green but soft tannins.
This wine should open up over the next two years and be at its peak between 2018 and 2022.

Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
