Priest Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2018 - 750ml
90 Points Wine Spectator
Dark and winey, with layers of cassis, blackberry paste and fig rolling through, showing accents of singed alder and warm earth. A tobacco leaf note chimes in through the grippy finish. Solid, if a bit burly in feel. Best from 2021 through 2028. 5,880 cases made.
Priest Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon was aged 20 months in 40% new French oak and 60% once-used French oak barrels. The lees were stirred for the first year followed by three racking in the second year of aging. The wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
The historic Priest Ranch is now part of Somerston Estate, a significant property totaling 1,682 acres with 225 acres of hillside vineyards. What defines and distinguishes the estate are the dramatic elevations of the vineyards, ranging from 800 ft. to 1,600 ft. The wines of Priest Ranch are sourced from multiple blocks, showcasing the diversity and complexity of the combined property.

Shipping wine around the country is very expensive. We charge about a third less than what it actually costs us. If you need to return your order (or if the wine gets returned back to us because you were unable to receive it after 3 attempts and you didn't email us to make other arrangements), we need to collect a return shipping fee that is up to double the amount of the shipping you paid. Upon receiving the wine back we will refund for the wine minus the initial shipping cost. In the event that we make a mistake we work with you to fix whatever went wrong at no additional cost to you.
